As the Author of The Lamp and Scroll, I wanted to create a simple, heartfelt introduction about myself and the purpose of this website. This is a personal space for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the Holy Scriptures. It's a place where we can connect, learn, and grow in faith together.
About The Lamp and Scroll
The Lamp & Scroll is a personal Bible study blog created by Robert Drummond. It exists as a place to record my study of the Holy Scriptures, ask difficult questions, and seek truth through the Word of YHWH, the Most High.
I do not claim to possess all the answers, nor do I seek to establish another denomination or religious movement. Rather, I believe every believer should search the Scriptures diligently, testing every teaching against the Word of the Most High Elohim.
My hope is that these articles encourage others to open their Bibles, study for themselves, and draw nearer Almighty YHWH, Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Outside of writing and studying, I enjoy a quiet life with my wonderful wife, Kathleen, to whom I have been happily married for 21 years. We have four children who are all adults, and two grandchildren. Together we enjoy raising a small flock of chickens, our dog Ion, and appreciating the simple blessings that the Father provides each day.
Above all, I am a lifelong student of the Scriptures. Each day, I continue to learn, to question, and to grow in my understanding of the Word of Elohim. Everything I write here reflects my present understanding, and I encourage every reader to examine the Scriptures for themselves, testing every teaching against His Word.
